Johnson Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Martin County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will take on the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. Johnson Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Johnson Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Hazard.

Keylee Blair made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adyson Burchett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Tolsia hit Martin County with a nine-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals came up short against the Rebels, falling 14-3. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Johnson Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Johnson Central took their win against Martin County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
