The Wakefield Bombers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 50-22 defeat at the hands of St. John's/Tipton Catholic. Wakefield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
St. John's/Tipton Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryder Allen, who picked up 113 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Edward Horinek was another key contributor, throwing for 209 yards and five touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes.
Wakefield's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.0 points per game. As for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
