Marion Local had to settle for second on Thursday, but Parker Hess sure wasn't going down easily. Hess pitched seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. The effort also marked the fewest walks (zero) he has had since back in March.

Hess and Marion Local will take on Russia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Hess' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Flyers' three-game streak of wins at home.
