Soccer Recap: Western Guilford Comes Up Short

If Western Guilford was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of High Point Central last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Western Guilford Hornets lost 5-2 to the Ledford Panthers on Monday.

Skylar Brewer and Arie'Ana Harmon scored both of Western Guilford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Western Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Ledford, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Western Guilford will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Southwest Guilford at 7:00 p.m. Western Guilford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season. As for Ledford, they are taking a road trip to take on Lexington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
