Volleyball Recap: Reservoir Starts Season with Victory Against Long Reach

Reservoir had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Long Reach Lightning on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the 'Gators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Long Reach still got an impressive performance from Delaney Strawhorn, who had seven digs and two aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reservoir will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on October 1. As for Long Reach, they will take on River Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
