Soccer Game Preview: Logan County vs. Fort Knox

The Logan County Cougars will head out to challenge the Fort Knox Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Logan County put up the most goals they have all season on Thursday. They never let Allen County-Scottsville get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Logan County in their matchups with Allen County-Scottsville: they've now won five in a row.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles last Thursday. Fort Knox put the hurt on Campbellsville with a sharp 7-0 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Fort Knox pulled away in the second half with six goals.

The win got Fort Knox back to even at 1-1. As for Logan County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Logan County was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Knox in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
