Rockledge comes up short despite Makaiya Watkins' strong performance

Recap: Rockledge Raiders vs. Bayside Bears
The Rockledge Raiders and the Bayside Bears squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Rockledge Raiders had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Bears 63-28. Rockledge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.
Despite the loss, Rockledge still got an impressive performance from Makaiya Watkins, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Watkins hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Rockledge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Bayside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.
Rockledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bayside, they will square off against Eau Gallie at TBD on Wednesday. Eau Gallie has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
