Meridian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooks Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Sebastian Hill was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds.
Clinton typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Tuscola proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Maroons 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Tuscola has posted since December 22, 2023.
Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Tuscola, their victory bumped their record up to 20-5.
Meridian won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, slipping by the Warriors 52-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Meridian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
