Soccer Game Preview: Roncalli Catholic vs. Westview

The Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride will head out on the road to take on the Westview Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Roncalli Catholic, who comes in off a win.

While Roncalli Catholic fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They blew past Omaha Northwest 6-0 on Monday. It was an even better day for Will Preston as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Westview came up short against Omaha Central on Saturday, falling 12-4. Westview have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Everything went Roncalli Catholic's way against Westview when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Roncalli Catholic made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roncalli Catholic since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
