Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Warriors vs. St. Albans Red Dragons

Riverside hasn't had much luck against St. Albans recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Riverside Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Albans Red Dragons at 7:00 p.m.

Riverside is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 99-25 loss at the hands of Spring Valley. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-16.

Despite the loss, Riverside saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jada Ward posted five points and six rebounds. Cianna Groom was another key player, putting up four points and four blocks.

Meanwhile, St. Albans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 51-32.

St. Albans' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
