Softball Recap: Terre Haute North Vigo Beats Avon for Their Third Straight Victory

Terre Haute North Vigo came out on top against Avon on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run seventh inning. The Patriots took their contest against the Orioles 9-5. The win was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three matches in a row.

Kenzie Zigler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Strange, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Terre Haute North Vigo's record now sits at 13-4. As for Avon, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terre Haute North Vigo will host Evansville North at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Avon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fishers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
