Volleyball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

If Warren was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Marshall on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Warren fell 2-0 to Pieper on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Pieper this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Friday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pieper scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

Warren has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Pieper, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Warren and Pieper will both be playing Hendrickson the next time they take the court. Pieper will host Hendrickson at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Warren will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
