Volleyball Recap: Skyline Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Skyline saw some tournament action on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Monroe Bearcats 2-1.

Skyline's offense was headlined by Carly Maginnis and Emma Gutke, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 22 assists. Finally, Tessa Reed kept Skyline's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Skyline is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9-3 record this season. As for Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Issaquah on the 25th. As for Monroe, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake Stevens at 7:00 p.m.
