Volleyball Recap: Space Coast Vipers vs. Titusville Terriers
Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Titusville Terriers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terriers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
Space Coast wouldn't go down easily and took Titusville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 15-9.
Isabella Taylor paced Space Coast's offense, picking up 24 kills. Taylor got some help from Gwenyth Cotham and her 41 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Titusville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Space Coast has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Winter Springs on the 3rd. As for Titusville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Eau Gallie on the 1st.
