Basketball Game Preview: Adams Central Flying Jets vs. Leo Lions

Adams Central hasn't had much luck against Leo recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Adams Central Flying Jets will welcome the Leo Lions at 2:30 p.m. Adams Central has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three contests.

Last Thursday, Adams Central strolled past Fremont with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. The win continues a trend for the Flying Jets in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Leo came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-52 W against the Barons. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Barons are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adams Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Leo, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Adams Central against Leo when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured an 82-49 victory. Does Adams Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Leo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
