Softball Recap: Queen's Grant Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Queen's Grant was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They lost 17-2 to the Union Preparatory Polar Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stallions have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Nicole Strickland-Mitchell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Queen's Grant has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-3 record this season. As for Union Preparatory, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant will face off against Hickory Grove Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union Preparatory, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Greater Cabarrus S at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th.
