Soccer Game Preview: Sterling vs. A&M Consolidated

The Sterling Rangers will square off against the A&M Consolidated Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sterling comes in on five and A&M Consolidated on 18.

Sterling is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Angleton 2-1. Miley Castillo had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Sterling got from the refs.

Asanah Gordon and Castillo scored both of Sterling's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

Meanwhile, A&M Consolidated kept a clean sheet against Kingwood Park on Friday. They blew past the Panthers 4-0. The result was nothing new for A&M Consolidated, who have now won 16 games by three goals or more so far this season.

Sterling's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six contests. As for A&M Consolidated, their victory bumped their record up to 21-0-1.
