Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Christian Academy Warriors vs. Central Hinds Academy Cougars

For the second straight game, Clinton Christian Academy will face off against Central Hinds Academy. The Warriors will host the Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Clinton Christian Academy fell victim to Central Hinds Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-0.

For Central Hinds Academy's part, they got a massive performance out of Jay Shuff, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Shuff has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Aaden George was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Central Hinds Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central Hinds Academy moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Clinton Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
