Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Baltic last Friday, St. Mary came back down to earth. The St. Mary Cardinals took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deubrook Dolphins on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dolphins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

St. Mary's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3. As for Deubrook, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

St. Mary will head out to take on Chester at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deubrook, they will square off against Flandreau at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Flandreau has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
