Soccer Recap: Howell Central Comes Up Short

Howell Central fought the good fight in their overtime game against Nixa on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Howell Central have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Howell Central and nudges their season record down to 7-6-2. As for Nixa, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Howell Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union at 6:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Nixa, they will challenge Cor Jesu Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
