Preview: St. David's Warriors vs. Raleigh Charter Phoenix
St. David's has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Raleigh Charter Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Raleigh Charter took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. David's, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, St. David's strolled past Word of God Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 45-31.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. David's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliza Everett, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. The game was Everett's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kate Benson, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Raleigh Charter couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cary Academy back in November.
St. David's has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Raleigh Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went St. David's way against Raleigh Charter in their previous matchup back in December of 2014 as St. David's made off with a 51-28 win. Does St. David's have another victory up their sleeve, or will Raleigh Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
