Softball Recap: St. Cloud's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

With a playoff win on the line, St. Cloud rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Poinciana Eagles as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was St. Cloud's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Poinciana, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, St. Cloud will challenge Harmony at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. Poinciana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
