Volleyball Recap: Aniguiin's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Aniguiin entered their tilt with Koyuk Malimiut on Friday with nine consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Malemutes. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Malemutes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2019.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Aniguiin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-27, 25-16, 12-25, 15-13.

Aniguiin's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Koyuk Malimiut, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.

Aniguiin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Gambell on the 1st. Hopefully Koyuk Malimiut paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
