Basketball Recap: South Mountain Jaguars vs. Metro Tech Knights
The South Mountain Jaguars won the last time they faced the Metro Tech Knights, and things went their way on Thursday too. South Mountain walked away with a 46-34 win over the Knights.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asia Martin, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamijah Moore, who scored seven points along with two steals.
South Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Metro Tech, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
South Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McClintock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully the Jaguars like a good challenge. As for Metro Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Linda is on a five-game streak of home losses, the Knights a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
