Baseball Recap: Azle Comes Up Short

Azle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to the Richland Royals. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Garin Bissonette was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Richland, the victory got them back to even at 12-12-1.

While Azle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
