Bishop Ireton proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 16) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Flint Hill Huskies 6-5. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Claire Schlereth, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Rachel Klaric was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop Ireton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Flint Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Bishop Ireton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 defeat against St. Mary's Ryken on the 1st. As for Flint Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 20-6 win against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes on the 1st.
