DuVal extends road winning streak to six

Recap: DuVal Tigers vs. Parkdale Panthers

Even though the Parkdale Panthers scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the DuVal Tigers still came out on top. DuVal managed a 64-59 win over Parkdale. Given DuVal's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Parkdale is ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Daniel Nwaete was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Amani Lett, who scored seven points along with six assists and four steals.

Despite the loss, Parkdale still got an impressive performance from Jacob Wilson, who scored 18 points. Mark Freeland was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Parkdale struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as DuVal racked up 17 assists.

DuVal's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Parkdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

DuVal will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. Northwestern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Parkdale, they will head out on the road to face off against High Point at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Parkdale is facing High Point at the right time seeing as High Point is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
