Football Preview: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils        
        
		
             Desert Vista has been away from home for three games now, but  on Thursday they'll finally make their return. After each having a week off, they and the Sunnyside Blue Devils will shake off the cobwebs and  challenge  one another  at 6:00  p.m. Both  have allowed few  points on average, (Desert Vista: 14, Sunnyside: 10) so any  points scored will be well earned.
 Last Thursday, Desert Vista beat Boulder Creek 14-7. That's two games straight that the Thunder have won by  exactly seven  points.
 It was another big night for  Jackie Jimenez, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (81 yards to be exact)  went to  Aleena Tonto.
 Desert Vista didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  McKenna Philpot and  Ravyn Harris.
 Meanwhile, Sunnyside got themselves on the board against Palo Verde last Thursday, but Palo Verde never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 35-0 at home. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 23  points or more this season.
 Desert Vista now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sunnyside, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
