Football Game Preview: Montclair Cavaliers vs. San Gorgonio Spartans

The Montclair Cavaliers will head out to face off against the San Gorgonio Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Montclair and six for San Gorgonio dating back to last season.

Montclair is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Canyon Springs on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cavaliers lost 39-13 to the Cougars. The Cavaliers were down 33-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, San Gorgonio scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 34-28 to Cathedral City.

Montclair's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for San Gorgonio, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Montclair was taken down by San Gorgonio 40-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Cavaliers, Daron Tyson (who picked up 65 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 46 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
