            Baseball Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. McClintock Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Metro Tech will face off against McClintock. The Knights will be playing at home against the Chargers  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Metro Tech is coming into the  game on  a  six-game losing streak.
Metro Tech fell victim to McClintock and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They lost  16-0 to the Chargers.
For McClintock's part,  Elias Baldwin made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Baldwin has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3. What's more,  he posted three  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Markus Lopez was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Cole Rentschler, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 McClintock has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Metro Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
