Myles Mayfield leads Edgewater to victory over Dr. Phillips

Recap: Edgewater Eagles vs. Dr. Phillips Panthers
The Edgewater Eagles put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 53-44 victory over Dr. Phillips. Given Edgewater's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Dr. Phillips is ranked 59th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Myles Mayfield continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Williams Jr., who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
Edgewater's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Dr. Phillips, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Edgewater's road trip will continue as they head out to face Apopka at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Dr. Phillips, they will be playing at home against St. Cloud at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
