Recap: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. Casa Grande Cougars
In what's become a running theme this season, the Williams Field Black Hawks gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Casa Grande, posting a 59-26 win on the road. The win was nothing new for Williams Field as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Williams Field was led to victory by Savanah Horotn and Sienna Lynch. Horotn scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Lynch scored 20 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Lynch scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Anouk Rico, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Casa Grande still got an impressive performance from Tyra Vaughn, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Williams Field has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Casa Grande, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams Field will square off against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williams Field is coming into the matchup with seven straight victories on the road, meaning Campo Verde will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Casa Grande, they will square off against Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mountain Pointe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
