Basketball Recap: Alpha Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 64 points the game before, Alpha Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals, falling 73-25. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Alpha Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lamar Johnson posted six points.

Alpha Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

While Alpha Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
