More Prep-Marian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,223 from 11,803. The improvement was the result of 36-26 victory over Russell last week.
The Monarchs led Mid-Central in scoring this week after putting up 36 points on the Broncos.
Larned/Pawnee Heights's dynamic duo of Easton Palmer and Brayden Smith proved tough for Ulysses to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Palmer threw for 132 yards and Smith had 46 yards receiving. Jamil Shoemaker helped Larned/Pawnee Heights' passing attack out by catching two balls for 36 yards.
Hagan Hanzlick was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 83 yards on 20 carries as Hoisington fell to the Tigers. Teammate Avery Urban added to the ground attack by rushing for 79 yards.
Seth Owen made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cardinals fell to Scott. The sophomore recorded one fumble.
Larned/Pawnee Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Palmer has thrown for 982 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Shoemaker has 22 catches for 387 yards. Brady Keith leads the league in rushing with 944 yards.
Hoisington's Hanzlick needs only 63 yards against Russell next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Hanzlick has rushed for 937 yards on 127 carries so far this year.
