The West Jessamine Colts will square off against the Pulaski County Maroons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. West Jessamine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

West Jessamine had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Henry Clay on Wednesday. West Jessamine was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Henry Clay.

Paige Hobgood was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Abigail Myszak, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

West Jessamine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Pulaski County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 22-4 to Mercer County.

West Jessamine's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pulaski County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
