The Norwich RVT Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Cheney RVT Beavers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cheney RVT took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Norwich RVT, who comes in off a win.
After only 24 points in their last contest, Norwich RVT made sure to put some points up on the board against Goodwin Tech on Tuesday. Norwich RVT took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over Goodwin Tech.
Meanwhile, Cheney RVT's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Windham RVT an easy 48-22 win. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cheney RVT in their matchups with Windham RVT: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Cheney RVT saw an underclassman step up: Cristialis Carrasquillo scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Hazel, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Norwich RVT's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cheney RVT, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
Everything went Norwich RVT's way against Cheney RVT in their previous meeting back in February as Norwich RVT made off with a 39-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norwich RVT since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
