Volleyball Recap: Cloudcroft Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Cloudcroft lost against Mesilla Valley Christian School back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears fell 3-1 to the SonBlazers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 18-25, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mesilla Valley Christian School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Black, who had 12 digs and three aces. What's more, Black posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September. Maddie McGarvey was another key player, getting six aces and four digs.

Cloudcroft's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for Mesilla Valley Christian School, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Coincidentally, Cloudcroft and Mesilla Valley Christian School will both be playing Capitan the next time they take the court. The SonBlazers will head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
