Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Randleman's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwestern Randolph.

Uwharrie Charter Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Randleman, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
