Softball Recap: Pike Takes a Loss

Pike extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 13-0 to the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. The Red Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

For Terre Haute North Vigo's part, Rayven Wilson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Kenzie Zigler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Pike has already played their next game (against Ben Davis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against North Central on the 26th.
