Volleyball Game Preview: University Wildcats vs. Venice Gondoliers + How To Watch

University is 0-10 against Venice since September of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Gondoliers at 4:30 p.m. Venice took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on University, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, University got the win against Westchester by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

One reason for the win was University's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-11.

Kayla Carpenter and Yulyana Kmita were among the main playmakers for University as the former had six aces and the latter had six aces.

They weren't the only good servers: University was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Venice came up short against Bishop Amat on Saturday and fell 2-0.

University's record is now 7-4. As for Venice, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-8.

University might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Venice in their previous meeting on September 3rd. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
