Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Beikerson Alvarez and Adeshina Alassani Lead Lincoln to Victory

Lincoln's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They strolled past the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 61-44.

Leading Lincoln to victory were Adeshina Alassani and Beikerson Alvarez. Alassani dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards, while Alvarez dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Alassani is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Fabian Vigil, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points.

Lincoln smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Lincoln's record is now 6-7. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will welcome DMLK at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they will be playing at home against DSST: Conservatory Green at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. DSST: Conservatory Green is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season.
