Basketball Recap: Sedgwick Comes Up Short

Sedgwick saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a hard 50-32 fall against the Attica Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Sedgwick still got an impressive performance from Gaby Petersen, who posted 11 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Ella Vondracek, who put up eight points and 11 rebounds.

Attica's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cady Hemphill, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Baylee Ricke was another key player, going 6 of 8 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Sedgwick dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Attica, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Sedgwick wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-39 defeat against Classical on the 13th. As for Attica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-31 loss against Remington on the 13th.
