Tomball is a perfect 9-0 against Klein Forest since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tomball has 15 straight victories, Klein Forest has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Tomball had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Klein Cain on Tuesday. The Cougars never let the Hurricanes get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Considering the Cougars have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Kaylea Wall's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aubrey Murillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Matalyn Gustafson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tomball kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Klein Forest fell victim to Klein Collins and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-0.
Tomball's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Klein Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
Klein Forest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tomball hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Klein Forest, though, as they've only averaged .237. Will they be able to contain Tomball's hitters?
