Volleyball Recap: Loogootee Comes Up Short

Loogootee lost against Castle back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13.

Savannah Green paced Loogootee's offense, picking up four kills. Green got some help from Aubrey Gilbert and her five assists.

Loogootee has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Castle, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

Loogootee has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Terre Haute South Vigo on the 4th. As for Castle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bloomington North on the 4th.
