Basketball Game Preview: Tullahoma Wildcats vs. Tennessee Heat

The Tullahoma Wildcats will challenge Tennessee Heat at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tullahoma has given up an average of 57.6 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tullahoma is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Brentwood Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats were dealt a 72-42 loss at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayden Thompson, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Price, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, Tennessee Heat unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 55-42 to Franklin Road Academy. The game marked Tennessee Heat's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tullahoma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Tennessee Heat, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
