Volleyball Game Preview: North Daviess Cougars vs. Eastern Greene Thunderbirds

The North Daviess Cougars will head out to square off against the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Daviess will be strutting in after a win while Eastern Greene will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, North Daviess got the win against North Central by a conclusive 3-0.

North Daviess not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Central between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Eastern Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Bedford North Lawrence.

Eastern Greene took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-18.

Eastern Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for North Daviess, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-12.

Everything went North Daviess' way against Eastern Greene in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as North Daviess made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
