Volleyball Recap: Sneads Falls Despite Big Games from Laray Gibbs and Morgan Veilleux + How To Watch

Sneads was the 3-0 winner over Cottondale when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Hornets on Monday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Sneads was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-18.

Sneads' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Morgan Veilleux, who had 19 digs and one block, and LaRay Gibbs, who had 28 digs. Gibbs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season. Shaleigh Harrell was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Sneads' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Cottondale, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.
