Soccer Game Preview: The Webb Schools vs. Bassett

The Webb Schools Gauls will take on the Bassett Olympians at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

The Webb Schools took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mark Keppel, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Gauls as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Julian Rodriguez and Finn Miller scored all three of The Webb Schools' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Bassett narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Schurr 2-1.

Bassett pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for The Webb Schools, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
