Soccer Game Preview: Arcadia vs. Hoover

The Arcadia Apaches will take on the Hoover Tornados at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Arcadia's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Arcadia took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Muir, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Apaches beat the Mustangs by a goal, winning 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given Arcadia's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 914th, while Muir are ranked 185th).

Meanwhile, Hoover has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 13th. They fell just short of Pasadena by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Arcadia, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
