Softball Recap: Central Private Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Central Private made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Joseph's Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Central Private Redhawks put the hurt on the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers with a sharp 15-5 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Redhawks, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Central Private's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Private will square off against Hammond at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they will take on Liberty Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
